Take Your Kid to Work Day(s)

Toronto, 2005

Big, three day session with around 75 managers. Management development stuff. Numerous facilitators, lots of breakout rooms. We were leading things.

My daughter came; she was in high school. She wasn't just watching; she had a job here! She was to take pictures of people during the session and I would use them for the video review at the end of the session.

These sessions are busy! I pretty much abandoned my daughter for most of the 3 days, and she went about her work.

She took great pictures and got to see the video review at the end. On the way home she rolled her eyes at the suggestion of a 'debrief' of the experience. So no debrief.

To this day she is the only member of the family to actually see me facilitate something! And to this day I have no idea what she did during her spare time during those 3 days!

Pretty cool for both of us.... I hope!
